As menacing as the name sounds, the Valley of Fire picks up it’s name from the bright red sandstone formations that were created more than 100 million years ago spread across this National Park. It’s hard to believe how close this stunning natural landscape is to the bustling Las Vegas when you are driving through the gorgeous and undisturbed desert.
