Tell us more about your role and what you will be doing at VroomVroomVroom?
The ‘why’ for me is about connecting the entire experience for our customers. Your journey begins with search intent and interacting with our booking engine. We want you to have a seamless and simple solution to the problem of getting from A to B.
What experience will you be bringing to the company?
Having spent time working on the agency side recently, I’ve learned a lot about different companies and their business models. I have to say I’m happy to immerse myself in a single product, kind of bringing me full circle. The start of my career in digital was working on a single production in the video games industry.
What is your favourite thing so far about working at VroomVroomVroom?
The people here are rockstars! In any company, one of the most difficult things is to keep people motivated. It still feels like a startup when I come to work every day and yet the company has been operating for years so we’ve done something right.
What is your vision for the digital performance of VroomVroomVroom?
There is so much talent and passion for the product here already. So the trick is to introduce incremental upgrades without disturbing that balance. As with any business, there is always room for improvement. The biggest focus for me is streamlining the experience our users have when searching and booking a vehicle. At the end of the day what they want is a simple and easy way to get from A to B with minimal hassle.

Tell us about your favourite road trip destination.
My number one would have to be Kauai. Kauai is a very special, small island in Hawaii. Renting a couple of Jeep Wrangler’s for a week with a bunch of people and exploring the island was magical. Though I love Australia and still think it’s the best place in the world to live! Between Queensland’s Noosa Heads, Stradbroke Island, Byron Bay and Angourie, Yamba – it’s impossible not to love a road trip down here any time of the year.
What is your best car rental tip?
Use the opportunity to get a convertible if you’ve never driven one and have some fun!
