This Vroomster Goes On the Road, In the Air, and On the Sea!

Terri Brown is our International Customer Service Manager and she has been helping people find the cheapest car rentals for 25 years, the last 8 of which have been for VroomVroomVroom! Last month, Terri took an awesome trip via Celebrity Cruises, so I decided to ask her a few questions when she and her cohorts had returned home!

Question: Good morning, Terri! When did you go on this trip? Who went with you? Why did you go?

Answer: January 3rd to 17th. We are 3 couples who are friends. Together we form a team of 6 drinkers!

Q: Where did you go on this trip?

A: We flew to Auckland, and embarked on the cruise out that day. We departed from Auckland, New Zealand, and sailed to Bay Of Islands, New Zealand; Tauranga, New Zealand; Wellington, New Zealand; Akaroa, New Zealand; Dunedin, New Zealand; Dusky Sound; Doubtful Sound; Milford Sound, New Zealand; Hobart, Tasmania; and finally to Sydney, Australia.

Q: If you loved the cruise ship, rank it out of 5 stars with 5 the best!

A: Sorry, it’s 5.5 STARS!!!

Q: Was a rental car involved, and if so, tell us about logistics… did it go on the boat with you? Did you save by booking far in advance or from a particular depot?

A: We rented from one of our suppliers in Hobart. The car was great, but they missed some damage — a scratch about 2 feet long down the passenger doors. ALWAYS take the damage at pickup seriously! Our roadtrip in the car hire was to Port Arthur — Australia’s convict colony in the 19th century http://www.portarthur.org.au/

Q: Where are you guys going next?

A: We’ve booked 2 more cruises…  one to the South Pacific Islands, and the other from Sydney to Honolulu via Tahiti and Bora Bora. (I’ve already done this in reverse in 2012!)

Q: What’s the best thing that happened on this trip?

A: Visiting Milford Sound, which is equally beautiful to the Grand Canyon in the United States! I was surprised by how impressive it was!!

Q: What’s the worst thing that happened on this trip?

A: Bloody Mary allllll over me at 8am in the morning…

Drink it, Tez! Don't wear it!

Q: Is there anything you would do differently if you had it to do over?

A: No.

Q: Thanks so much for taking a few moments to share this cool trip with everyone!

A: You’re welcome.
