Where Travel Bloggers Would Love To Go This Christmas
Christmas is just around the corner, so as early as now, start planning where you will spend the holidays. Usually flights, accommodation and rental cars get booked out quickly, that’s why it is best to finalize where you are going ahead of time. You will have more choices, and the prices are cheaper too. For rental cars, VroomVroomVroom is the best site to check out since we compare car hire deals across the globe, including key cities and airports in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, and UK.
Still undecided where to go for the coming holidays? Let our travel blogger friends help you! We asked them which places are ideal to visit for Christmas. Since they’ve been to different parts of the world, they will be able to give the best recommendations. Check out their answers below:
Drew Goldberg of The Hungry Partier
My top 3 destinations for visit this Christmas are Vietnam, The Philippines and Myanmar. All three countries are in Southeast Asia, which means that they are very affordable to visit and they have some of the nicest people on earth. You will never fun out of picture-perfect beaches, temples and outdoor activities that will keep you busy during the holiday season.

For Christmas? Number 1 is always home! For me that is Ireland. New York is of course a great place to spend Christmas too, as is Sydney, Australia. Seafood and hot weather is so foreign to us Europeans for a Christmas experience, I loved it. If I’m away from friends and family, then I prefer to be in a place where Christmas isn’t celebrated to be honest, that way I get less homesick. In the north east of China they have an amazing ice festival in Harbin, that’s a great spot to spend Christmas. The CopaCabana beach in Rio isn’t bad either!

One of my favourite spots for Christmas is Whistler, Vancouver. As a snowboarder, the prospect of hitting the mountain slopes, floating over fresh powder and wrapping up the night in a hot tub with snowflakes falling from above. It’s a magical experience that makes it perfect for the holidays.

Head to Paris for Christmas. The French capital comes alive at Christmas, and it’s difficult not to find yourself swept up in the cheerful atmosphere and festivities! The twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower sparkle (for a bit of extra Christmas magic, you can go ice skating inside the Eiffel tower), and the Champs-Elysees hosts one of the most impressive Christmas markets in Europe. Stretching from the Champs-Elysee roundabout all the way to the Place de la Concord, rows of wooden chalets line the world’s most famous shopping street in one of the largest Christmas markets in France. It’s also one of the longest running in Europe. Soak up the Christmas decorations, festive objects, regional produce and arts & crafts.

We really enjoyed Christmas in South America last year, they really know how to do Christmas! We were in La Paz in Bolivia and everyone was out in the streets, dressed up in fancy dress, huge street shows and parties going on until morning. Choose any South American city and you’re gonna have a great time.
