Funniest Car Scenes in Movies

We have featured 11 Greatest Car Chases in Films before, so now we have thought of listing 10 of the funniest car scenes in movies – from dealing with an irate car rental customer to hitchhiking with two obnoxious buddies. I hope our list will make you smile, or better yet laugh, since that’s the best cure for bad traffic days.

1. Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987)

The film stars Steve Martin, and he plays a marketing executive who struggles to travel back home in time for Thanksgiving dinner with his family. This scene shows how Steve Martin vents out his frustrations to the rental car agent after experiencing a series of misfortunes. 2. Dumb and Dumber (1994)

The movie features the hilarious duo of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, who go on a cross-country adventure. In this scene, they’ve picked up a hitchhiker not knowing that he’s a bad guy. Watch how they torture the mobster with their stupidity.

3. Wayne’s World (1992)

Another popular comedy duo, Mike Myers and Dana Carvey, became famous for their headbanging lip-sync of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” while driving on the streets of Aurora, Illinois. Maybe this is where James Corden got his idea for Carpool Karaoke.

4. Zoolander (2001)

Ben Stiller plays a stereotype fashion model in this comedy flick. In this scene, he and his co-models decided to do a car wash scene and ended up playing with gas instead of water. A model lights up a cigarette and you know what happens next.

5. Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995)

Jim Carrey gained instant fame after starring as pet detective Ace Ventura, and he is back in this sequel to investigate the disappearance of a white bat. Watch Ace Ventura drive his safari jeep insanely, and see if you can take him seriously as a detective.

6. Step Brothers (2008)

If you’re a big fan of Guns and Roses, then you will surely enjoy this scene in the 2008 comedy, which starred Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. On-screen husband and wife, Adam Scott and Kathryn Hahn, together with their kids, almost got into a car accident while singing their own rendition of “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

7. Tommy Boy (1995)

The late Chris Farley and David Spade have been fighting what music to play in the car, but ended up singing along to The Carpenters’ “Superstar.” Just when the two were getting into the moment, the hood of the car pops up and after that was total chaos!

8. White Chicks (2004)

If you’ve seen this movie before, then you would probably think of Terry Crews each time your hear “A Thousand Miles” by Vanessa Carlton. Marlon Wayans, who starred as an undercover FBI agent, was trying to find ways to get rid of her date by playing a girly song not knowing he’s a huge fan of it.

9. Click (2006)
