When you hear the name James Bond, one of the thoughts that will enter your mind are his awesome collection of cars! The British secret service agent is known for driving stylish and luxurious cars – from the classic Ford Mustang Mach 1 in “Diamonds Are Forever” to the iconic Aston Martin DB5 in “Goldfinger”.
It’s no wonder that so many car lovers are eager to watch the 24th installment of the film franchise so they can check out the cool vehicles that they will feature in “Spectre”, which will hit the UK theaters on October 23 (US & Canada on November 6). To give you an idea of what to expect, we have come up with a list of vehicles that were confirmed to appear in the new James Bond movie.
Aston Martin DB10
Aston Martin and EON Productions unveiled this new car last December. The model was developed for “Spectre” and was built by the automobile brand’s engineering and design teams. Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said, “In the same year that we celebrate our 50-year relationship with 007, it seems doubly fitting that today we unveiled this wonderful new sports car created especially for James Bond.” According to Aston Martin, they will only produce 10 of the tailored sports car.
This stunning sports car will be driven by James Bond’s archenemy in “Spectre”. According to Business Insider, the Aston and Jaguar will go head to head on the streets of Rome in the upcoming movie. The C-X75 concept car won the “Best in Show” award during the Paris Motor Show back in 2010. Jaguar’s head designer Ian Callum revealed, “This will be the finest looking and most innovative Jaguar ever created.” He added, “Even in the world of supercars, we can still produce the most beautiful.”
Range Rover Sport SVR
The new SVR is the most powerful and fastest vehicle ever produced by the Land Rover company. It features 550 horsepower, 5.0 liter supercharged V-8, and has a top speed limit of 162 mph. The Range Rover SVR has the capability of keeping up with sports cars on-road. But this vehicle isn’t all about speed, because it’s also one of the best off-road SVRs around and can even wade through deep water with so much ease.
Land Rover Defender Big Foot
This vehicle is perfect for James Bond’s scenes in the snowy mountains. Its 37-inch off-road tires are ideal for foul weather and rough terrains. Jaguar Land Rover originally created the 4×4 as a support vehicle for their product launches in Morocco, Iceland, and Finland. According to Automobile Mag, the Land Rover Big Foot will never see production unlike the Range Rover Sport SVR which is already featured in showrooms. Express reported that the Range Rover Sport SVR and Defender Big Foot have already been filmed in Austria.
Just like the cars that were featured in the film series, the actors also change through time. Daniel Craig took over the role from Pierce Brosnan in 2006. The 46-year old actor is now on his fourth film as James Bond. Daniel Craig will be joined by a stellar cast including Ralph Fiennes, Monica Bellucci, Lea Seydoux and Dave Bautista.
