What kind of car would Ron Burgundy drive? VroomVroomVroom’s Top 5 Cars and Vans of the 1970’s!
|Ron Burgundy might say, “I don’t know how to put this… these wheels are kind of a big deal.” VroomVroomVroom wants to take you down memory lane as Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues hits theaters this weekend.
What kind of vehicles did Ron, Veronica, Brick, Brian, and Champ drive while they were working for KVWN? We share our best guesses right now, as we count down VroomVroomVroom’s Top 5 Cars and Vans of the 1970’s!
Ron wouldn’t be caught dead driving around San Diego in anything less than incredible. We think he’d enjoy turning heads and commanding respect in this green 1971 Chevy Camaro!
We know Veronica’s very much a lady, but we think she might like it if Ron drove her around in this cool, custom 1976 Dodge Tradesman 200!
Ford advertised the 1970 Mach 1 with the tagline, “Mach 1 — pronounced Mach Won!” Now doesn’t that sound like something ol’ Champ Kind would say to Ron & the gang? The greatest sportscaster in San Diego would drive this 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
The characters of Anchorman and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues probably wouldn’t have seen many of these babies in San Diego, but we like to think that Brian would’ve imported this purple, 2-door 1973 Holden Torana LJ S. It’s perfect for him!
Last but not least, what would Brick drive? The 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger, of course! It just yells “Brick!” because that innocent, white paint job reminds us of the hapless weatherman, who’s a very loyal friend to Ron and his buddies.
We don’t think you can find these at your local car rental supplier, but maybe one of the anchors over at the so-called “24-hour cable TV news” stations can investigate that problem for you? (Yeah, right. Like that’ll ever catch on!)
