Cars on Fire! What Would the Hunger Games’ Tributes Drive?

We have seen the citizens of Panem transforming before our eyes. As we are told, the child’s play is over as Katniss and Peeta prepare for the Quarter Quell. Trained killers from the other districts are prepared to fight to the death for the honor of being called ‘Victors’ once again.

The great Hunger Games fandom is expected to be treated to an extraordinary experience when the irresistibly charming and handsome Finnick Odair makes his entrance. It’s expected to feel depressive about Mags and Cinna (oops, no spoilers!), to loathe President Snow more, or be uneasy around Gamemaster Plutarch Heavensbee. Literally, the new Hunger Games movie is a mix of different emotions. But, what if other than a house in the Victor’s Village, they are given their own car? What would it be? As industry leaders, we at VroomVroomVroom, think that we can find the right car for each victor.

District 1 Luxury – Cashmere and Gloss

Of course, they would pick a car that sparkles, silly! Or would they? We doubt Gloss would, but Cashmere can dig something flashy and shiny. For the benefit of getting them both one car that showcases their status in Panem, we decided to choose the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe.

It fits Cashmere and Gloss for three reasons: 1) its athletic exterior and driver-oriented cockpit that makes it a fit as a beautiful weapon against the ordinary. Cashmere and Gloss came from a Career District where children are trained and prepared to be killers for the Hunger Games.

2) The performance prowess and aesthetic impact of this vehicle makes it worthy of the Stingray emblem. Like Cashmere and Gloss, they have always been worthy to be called Victors the moment they stepped at the arena. 3) More than screaming precision, the 2014 Stingray is a mantra. It throws off the constraints of tradition and this is exactly what the tributes, Cashmere and Gloss, does.

District 2 Masonry – Enobaria and Brutus

When Enobaria was old enough for the reaping, she volunteered herself for the Hunger Games and was famous for ripping the throats of other victors. Along with Brutus, Enobaria takes the Quarter Quell too seriously. Their brutal strength deserve to be rewarded a 2014 Cadillac SRX Crossover.

This exhilarating and refine vehicle would surely give justice to Enobaria and Brutus’ Masonry District. The subtle elegance of the Cadillac Crossover is daringly distinctive in all levels.

District 3 Electronics – Wiress and Beetee

Because they are from the Electronics District, it would be safe to give Wiress and Beetee something economical and environment-friendly like the 2013 Lexus RX 450h.

It’s not just another SUV because it represents something unusual as a premium-brand vehicle that sipped instead of swilled fuel. The fuel efficiency of this hybrid makes it perfect for Wiress and Beetee.

They will surely know their way around the Lexus RX 450h with its electronics interface. Some may think that this is a distracting feature, but for Wiress and Beetee, this is a total advantage. Quiet and attractive, the Lexus RX 450h best represents the District 3 tributes.

District 4 Fishing – Mags and Finnick Odair

Mags’ presence should not be underestimated since she plays a major role in Finnick’s life, but as she does the unexpected, Finnick is the only one left eligible for a car. For him, we choose the Rolls Royce Ghost.

Back at the 65^th Hunger Games, Finnick won at age 14 and instantly became a favorite among the people in The Capitol. He serves as a timeless symbol of the Games like the Ghost. Both the District 4 tribute and the Rolls Royce Ghost deliver simplicity out of complexity. 

Dashing, charming, and with the robust 6-pack Finnick Odair should own the smooth – almost fluid – Rolls Royce Ghost. He would surely enjoy it because it will remind him of home.

District 7 Lumber – Johanna Mason and Blight

Sexually violent Johanna Mason with the tough Blight needs a car that can handle their power. The Jaguar XJR suits both tributes with its 550 horsepower. The ‘R’ represents added dollop of rowdy sportiness and greater power is expected. This jaguar has tighter suspension and its visual characteristics toughened. 

Johanna Mason and Blight will definitely enjoy the hot engine and the more aggressive tuning of the Jaguar XJR. Aside from the 550 HP it possess, it is supercharged with 5.0-liter v-8 from the XKR-S coupe and droptop and the XFR-S. There’s power everywhere and this makes the Jaguar XJR sound glorious. We are sure that this hell of a ride can complement Johanna and Blight’s home at the Victor’s Village.

District 12 Coal – Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark

Coming from the coal district, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark deserve something to complement their fire!

Mainstream luxury car models have the same problems: heated steering wheel and heated/ventilated seats. Since Katniss and Peeta are already, literally, on fire during their Capitol parade for two years straight, we decided to give them something that could extinguish the fire a little bit.
