Introducing: David Eastes
|At VroomVroomVroom we have a great team behind the scenes that have built the business to be what it is today. Here’s the first in a series of “Behind the Scenes” posts that we’ll be bringing to you, to show you what really goes on. We’ll be introducing some of our team members, sharing what we do and answering some of your questions.
One of our Directors, David, has just made the big move to the United States to help build up our US business (I’m not sure how much work will get done in Las Vegas!). So, without further adieu – introducing… David Eastes!
Name: David Eastes
Current Role: US Director
How long have you worked at VroomVroomVroom? 8.5 years
What do you like best about working at VVV? Everyone who works at VVV loves coming to work, we are a strong innovative team, and on Friday afternoons we know how to celebrate a solid week’s work.
Favourite road trip memory: Driving for 3 days from Vancouver to Banff (and back) with Richard and my good mate Andrew. We swam in a frozen river, partied in silly foam, climbed giant ant hills, lost control of our rental car on black ice and….. wait, what? Lesson here for everyone, purchase car hire excess reduction when you plan to drive on a frozen road.
What’s the most unusual item that could be found in your car (or if you don’t have a car, then bike, skateboard, rollerblades etc)? A bongo drum, the Moulin Rouge album and I honestly have a collection of over 15 hats in my boot. (I think he’s going to have to get used to calling it a “trunk” after moving to the US! – Luke)
When you’re not hard at work, what can you be found doing? Anywhere outdoors. gardening, mountain biking, kite surfing or relaxing at the beach.
