As reported on Monday by Karthick Prabu of Tnooz, 14 fake Jetstar Australia pages and profiles came to the attention of the company. The offending scam artists have subsequently been removed from Facebook, but the low-cost airline — founded in 2003 and owned by Qantas — warns its customers to be aware and said, “… no major Australian airline has been immune from these types of scams and it’s a fair bet they aren’t going to disappear anytime soon.”

Jetstar used its real Facebook account to alert its followers to the existence of the scams, as seen in the picture above. Jetstar stated that it believes no customers’ information was compromised by the 14 fakes.
